A motorcycle was extensively damaged in a blaze outside a Devonshire home.

Police and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service responded to the 5.45 a.m. blaze in front of the Foothills Road residence yesterday.

The fire was subsequently extinguished.

Said a Police spokesperson: "No one was injured; however the motorcycle was extensively damaged. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.".

Burglaries in St. David's

Police are again warning people to lock their windows and doors after two burglaries were reported on Wednesday in St. David's

At around 4 p.m. Police responded to a reported burglary at a Lighthouse Hill home. It is believed that at some time between 9.45 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. that day, someone entered the home, but nothing was reportedly stolen.

An hour later, the residents of a Dolly's Bay Lane home called Police and reported that a PlayStation 3 and an i-pod had been stolen.

The burglar is believed to have entered the home between 8.15 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. that day.

A Police spokesman said: "We continue to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries.

"All residents should make sure windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended, even for short periods of time."
