Car and bike hit in Warwick

A car and motorcycle collided in Warwick yesterday morning, leaving the bike rider with chest and abdominal injuries.

Police attended the scene at Tamarind Vale around 7.05 a.m.

According to a spokesman, it appears that the motorcycle was travelling north on Tamarind Vale and the car was exiting a private driveway attempting to turn right and travel south when the vehicles collided and then struck a wall.

The rider of the cycle, a 26 year old man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, an 81-year-old woman from Warwick, was not injured.
