Rider breaks leg in bike crash
A 34-year-old motorcyclist broke his leg in a collision with a car over the weekend.
Police said the Smith's Parish resident was travelling west on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Christ Church Lane at 8.45 p.m. on Sunday.
According to a spokesperson, the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when the accident occurred.
"The rider of the motorcycle, a 34-year-old Smith's Parish man, sustained a broken leg and abrasions to his body. He was taken to KEMH [King Edward VII Memorial Hospital] via ambulance for treatment."
The spokesperson continued: "The driver of the car, a 50-year-old Pembroke man, was not injured. The motorcycle received extensive front end damage while the car received moderate front end damage."
Inquiries into the incident are underway.
