Government and the Bermuda Industrial Union are to host a forum and career fair on Monday at 3 p.m. at the union HQ in Union Street.

HSBC Bank of Bermuda will have a representative to present options available through the bank.

Labour Minister David Burch said: "The forum will consist of brief presentations by each of the organisations and then upstairs will be a career fair to provide individual advice and counselling to those in attendance.

"I am delighted that we are taking these proactive steps to assist the workers of this country in partnership with our largest union, the Bermuda Industrial Union.

"This Government is committed to working with all industry stakeholders to face down the economic challenges we face in partnership. I know other sectors are asking what about us. I say stay tuned."
