Why My Big Brother Should Be The Big Brother Of The Year, by Khalil Burch

I think my Big Brother should be the Big of the Year because he has always helped me with my school work. Ever since M1 he has kept in touch with my teachers.

He always checked up on my grades to make sure they were good. He has also helped me find the best school for me. At first he thought my previous private school would be a good school for me, but towards the end of the year he realised that wasn't the right environment for me.

So he moved me to CedarBridge and I am currently attending there now in my second year.

Secondly, in the whole time we have been together he has always been very nice to me and very supportive and encouraging. With everything I do he has always told me never to give up or always do your best. Whether it was something school related or sports related he always told me positive things.

Thirdly, he has always been a very fun Big Brother. He is always calling me to ask if I have plans for the weekend. Usually he takes me to his house and we go fishing or swimming or out on his boat and on other occasions we go out to restaurants like the La Trattoria or we got out to the movies.

During the summer he got me into a couple of wonderful programs such as the WaterStart Programme at the BIOS Station.

I really enjoyed that camp a lot because when I grow up I want to be a Marine Biologist and this program helps a lot.

Fourthly, is that he is always kind to my friends. Whenever I asked if they could come out with us for the day he never told me no. He is always excited to see me with my friends and to bring them along. I remember when he took me and my cousin Kyle out to lunch then to the movies. We went to eat at La Trattoria then we went Liberty Theater to see a movie called New Moon.

Lastly, Alan is a very good listener. He always listens to what I have to say. He likes to hear my opinion on situations. Overall Alan has been a very helpful and fun Big Brother so I think he really deserves the Big of the Year award.
