BIFF winner on screen tonight
An award-winning movie from the Bermuda Film Festival will be showing tonight at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
'Music on Hold' (Musica en espera), an entertaining romantic comedy from Argentina, won best feature film during the Island's March festival.
Directed by Hernan Goldfrid (in Spanish with English subtitles), it tells the story of Ezequiel who is on a deadline to compose a movie soundtrack, but is suffering from writer's block.
While he struggles with this, Ezequiel calls his bank and while on hold discovers his inspiration the hold music. As he tracks down the music he also finds Paula, the a bank worker who put him on hold. She's eight months pregnant and single so when Ezequiel arrives at the same time as her judgemental mother, Paula pulls Ezequiel into the role of father.
'Music on Hold', which runs for 98 minutes, will show at 6.30 p.m. tonight and tickets are available at the door from 5.30 p.m. Film club members $8; regular tickets $10. For all inquiries email info@biff.bm
