Government's Health Promotions Co-ordinator Jennifer Attride-Stirling will act as chief executive officer of the Bermuda Health Council for the next six months, starting on December 15.
Health Minister Nelson Bascome said Dr. Attride-Stirling is taking over the position made vacant by the resignation of Anthony Richardson.
Mr. Richardson joined the Island's health watchdog two years ago while still the Chairman of the Bermuda Hospitals Board.
He resigned from the BHB later that same year. This week BHeC's Chairperson Linda Merritt announced that Mr. Richardson had also stepped down from the Council to pursue other opportunities.
Mr. Bascome said Dr. Attride-Stirling's appointment would give the Council time to find a full-time CEO.
