Motion Dance Company reaches milestone

When the curtain rises tonight on the Bermuda Festival performance of the Concepts in Motion Dance Company, it will mark yet another milestone in its ten-year history, during which it has earned a solid reputation for outstanding performance levels, innovative choreography and training techniques.

Indeed, the Company's inclusion in the Festival line-up during this special 400th anniversary year is public recognition of just how much it has grown, and how well it has developed its local dance students over the past decade.

Established in 1999 by Bermudian Lizz Pimental, owner of the In Motion School of Dance, Concepts aims to expose talented Bermudian dancers and choreographers to opportunities both here and abroad, and to focus on their successful promotion while encouraging the amalgamation of various art forms.

The Company brings to the stage contemporary styles and bold, innovative choreography through some of the Island's most talented performers and choreographers, and it incorporates various styles and art forms into its productions. It has also collaborated with internationally-recognised choreographers.

Praised for its contributions to local culture by supporting local artists and dancers, and offering them a creative outlet to present their works, Concepts in Motion continues to build on its early successes, and gain the respect and recognition it so clearly deserves.

Tonight's one-off performance at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts begins at 8 p.m. For tickets and further information visit website www.bermudafestival.org
