Alleged barbershop attacker remanded
A man charged in an attack on a Flatts barbershop employee was yesterday remanded in custody.
Earl Ingemann appeared in Magistrates' Court with Rashid Muhammad and Marico Bassett, the two other men allegedly involved in the November 28 attack.
Muhammad and Bassett, both of Somerset, had their bail extended until their January hearing.
Ingemann, however, was remanded in custody for having allegedly breached his bail conditions three weeks ago.
His mother, who initially wrote a letter to the court asking the Magistrate to remand her son, has since changed her tune. She subsequently wrote a second letter to the court requesting that Ingemann be bailed over the Christmas holidays.
Despite her plea, Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo ordered the Somerset man to be remanded until his trial.
