MarketPlace has issued a recall on 64-ounce Shoprite apple juice.

The product, with a best buy date of April 24, 2010, and batch number CT74 1342, was mostly sold in Hamilton stores.

A spokeswoman said: "A number of customers have reported a funny smell and taste to some of the bottles so as a precaution the MarketPlace is asking customers to return the product to the store for a full refund."

MarketPlace now has a new shipment of 64-ounce Shoprite which is not affected by the recall, and is available in all stores.
