Around 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, Police attended the scene on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Dock Hill involving a car and a motorcycle.

It appears that the car was travelling east on North Shore Road when the motorcycle exited the Devonshire dock area and the vehicles collided.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 31-year-old Pembroke woman, sustained relatively minor facial injuries and complained of pain to her right knee.

The driver of the car, a 55-year-old Warwick man, was not injured. The car and the motorcycle both received moderate front-end damage.

This collision also caused some traffic delays in the area.

At 1.35 a.m. on Friday morning, Police attended another accident on Middle Road in Southampton, near the junction with Southampton Road involving a Police vehicle, a car and a motorcycle.

It appears that the car and motorcycle were both travelling east on Middle Road with the motorcycle behind the car. As they approached a left hand bend, the motorcycle attempted to overtake the car.

At this time the Police vehicle was travelling in the opposite direction responding to an emergency call, with lights and sirens on.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old Sandy's parish man, then turned back into the eastbound lane and collided with the rear offside of the car.

As a result, he was thrown off the motorcycle on to the road and the motorcycle struck the front of the Police car.

The motorcyclist was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment after complaining of abdominal pain.

The officer driving the Police car was not injured. The driver of the other car, a 45-year-old Devonshire woman, was also uninjured.

The Police vehicle received extensive front-end damage while the other car received minor rear end damage. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into both incidents are underway.
