Man goes to hospital after brawl
wounded in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital this week.
What began as a telephone argument between the woman's ex-husband and her current boyfriend escalated into a full-scale brawl when the boyfriend went to the ex-husband's home to confront him.
Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Wilcox said the incident occurred on July 19, outside a residence off Spice Hill Road, Warwick.
The woman's ex-husband allegedly attacked the boyfriend with a machete.
At this point the woman drove her car at her ex-husband to prevent him from injuring her boyfriend.
Sgt. Wilcox said the fracas degenerated into primarily a fist fight between the two men, during which the ex-husband received a machete cut to his arm.
An ambulance was called and the ex-husband was taken to the hospital where he was detained for the night and treated for his wound.
