home banking product.
Fieldlink Home allows Bank of Butterfield personal account customers to have access to their bank accounts through a personal computer and modem from anywhere in the world, "any time, day or night,'' the bank said yesterday in a press release.
"Fieldlink Home will make banking easier for our customers allowing them to bank at their convenience,'' said executive vice president of banking, Mr.
Colin Furr.
"This product will allow Bermudian residents and international customers to have access to their accounts from anywhere in the world.
"Fieldlink Home demonstrates the bank's ongoing commitment to increased services for our customers,'' he said.
With the new product, customers can access Bank of Butterfield account balances, transfer funds between accounts and pay credit card bills.
Customers can also initiate drafts and wire transfers as well as review Bermuda Stock Exchange activity, foreign exchange rates, deposit rates and treasury market commentaries.
Fieldlink Home is a free monthly service with a one-time setup fee of $25.
Current bank transaction charges still apply.
Setup includes a training session, a user guide, as well as time saving repetitive money transfer codes.
The bank is offering demonstrations of the new product.
Customers with any personal computer, any modem and communications software and a telephone line can use this home banking product, the bank said.
