The man was hurt after his machine collided with a cement mixer at the junction of Woodlands Road and Canal Road, at 5.30 p.m. last night.

The cycle, which was turning into Canal Road from the north, ended up underneath the Biermans lorry, which was travelling north.

Police and ambulance attended the scene, and the motorcyclist was taken to King Edward Memorial VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
