anniversaries this week -- 46 years of service in the Island, and the 75th anniversary of Lions Clubs International.

Celebrations will culminate in a gala banquet which will be held at the Southampton Princess on Friday.

Guest speaker for the evening will be past director of the International Association of Lions Clubs, Mr. Otto Strobino, of Cheshire, Connecticut.

All proceeds from the banquet will go towards the Lions' Sightfirst Campaign.

Sightfirst is Lions International's most ambitious initiative yet, aiming to raise a staggering $130 million in total contributions by July 1994 for the prevention and cure of blindness worldwide.
