and managing director of its Butterfield Trust (Bermuda).

Former senior manager in the bank's Guernsey office and director of private client services there, Robin Barnes, has transferred to the Island to take on the roles.

Mr. Barnes brings 22 years of trust and investment management experience.

He has held senior positions with two major international banks and joined the Bank of Butterfield in 1994.

He said he believed there was considerable opportunity for developing the bank's services in Bermuda as well as internationally.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity of working in Bermuda having been a frequent visitor to the Island for the last fifteen years. My priority will be to ensure that we provide the highest standard of service to our clients.
