against the Ship's Hill development to turn them in by 5 p.m. tomorrow.

The group, which began circulating the petition last year, has opposed the Bermuda Properties Ltd's plans to build luxury homes on the land in Tucker's Town which has an underlying cave system.

Both SOS and The National Trust have argued that the development will harm the environment, including cave structures below Ship's Hill.

But BPL have countered that the plans will enhance the area, will not endanger the caves, and will give native plant species a chance to thrive.

Objectors to the plan have until Friday to register their complaints with the Planning Department.

Both SOS and The National Trust are expected to file objections.

Therefore, SOS member Diana Antonition said, petition forms should be taken to the Body Shop in the Washington Mall.
