Expected to be downgraded to a minor depression and totally fizzle out before reaching Bermuda, weather forecasters last night said the storm posed no cause for major concern.
Harvey is expected to be closest to the Island at 3 p.m. today when it is expected to be some 613 nautical miles west southwest of Bermuda.
Yesterday, Tropical Storm Harvey slowed the morning commute to Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida as heavy rain caused street floodings. Wind gusts up to 48 mph were registered in Sombrero Key on Florida's southern tip and tornado warnings were issued.
