the beneficiaries of a trust fund, will have a Supreme Court trial a Magistrate ruled yesterday.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis committed the matter to the Supreme Court for the sessions that begin on July 3.

Vaucrosson, of North Shore Road, Pembroke, appeared briefly in Magistrates' Court yesterday for a short form preliminary inquiry.

He was represented by Jamaican Queen's Counsel Mr. Frank Phipps, Ms Patricia Harvey and Mr. Michael Scott.

Crown Counsel Mr. James Candlin appeared for the Attorney General's chambers.

The trial involves eight charges. The first seven related to Vaucrosson acting for the estate of Percy Charles Ball between February 1 and March 1, 1991. All claimed he had stolen money -- ranging in amounts from $9,000 to $151,750 from beneficiaries of the estate.

Meantime, the eighth charge totalled all the figures to give the $393,782.52 figure Vaucrosson alleged to have stolen.

Ball was a journalist at the Bermuda Broadcasting Company.

Mr. Francis released Vaucrosson on $50,000 bail plus a like surety.
