Pembroke to check their emergency beacons.

Beginning 5 p.m. on Sunday, and continuing until the signal was lost late on Monday, Harbour Radio monitored an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (Epirb).

The signal was heard by an overflying aircraft which relayed the broadcast to Harbour Radio.

The beacon was traced to Boss' Cove and Harbour Radio requests owners to check their equipment and in the event of accidental activation, switch off the beacon and change their batteries.
