The Smith's Parish girl ran in front of the car on Par-La-Ville Road around 12.15 p.m. last Friday.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the girl was not seriously injured.

But she suffered a bruised hand and a concussion.

The driver of the beige Mitsubishi car stopped to assist the girl, P.c.

Venning added, but he was waved on by the parents.

P.c. Venning also stressed that the driver was not in any trouble.
