Mr. Pearman has filed a writ in the Supreme Court against Mr. Scott for $148,655.36 -- the suit coming as Mr. Pearman stood as guarantor for a loan Mr. Scott received from the bank for his Somerset law practice.

Mr. Scott admitted he is experiencing a cash flow shortage.

"You lose a lot of time and money in politics,'' the ex-Senator said. "And I have to work to pay it back. Mr. Pearman stood as guarantor for me and I suppose the bank is now going to him for the money so he in turn is suing me.''
