The boy suffered cuts and scrapes to his arms and legs in the accident which occurred on South Road in Paget at around 5.45 p.m. on Monday.

The young man stepped out on to a pedestrian crossing and was hit by a 61-year-old Smith's woman riding a cycle, said a Police spokesperson.

In a separate incident, a 25-year-old Warwick woman fractured her wrist and sustained cuts when she collided with a wall on Ord Road in Warwick at around 7 p.m. on Monday.

An insect apparently flew into her helmet and the woman lost control of her cycle.
