yesterday after he was caught trying to remove an unlicenced vehicle from Spanish Point to Devonshire.

William Dennis Moniz of Apartment 5, Tribe Road No. 1, Devonshire told Senior Magistrate William Francis he was making an early move. On January 17 Police saw Moniz on Victoria Street, Hamilton driving the unlicenced car.

"I know I was guilty. I just bought the car I was moving it around 3 a.m.'' said Moniz.

The Magistrate imposed fines of $900 on the offender for driving an unlicenced vehicle, $150 for no driver's licence, and $500 for no insurance.

Moniz told the senior magistrate he is only employed once a week and the car is his only form of transportation.

"Well, there are cheaper forms of transportation...auxiliary cycles, I guess,'' Mr. Francis said.
