Soccer fans set for Jamaica
Cup match next month.
The trip is being laid on by Captains William Madeiros and Larry Mussenden, and Major David Burch, of the Bermuda Regiment.
It is second time lucky for the trio who failed with a similar venture to Antigua a few months go.
This time they set themselves a minimum target of 130 soccer fans to make the trip.
"We are absolutely delighted to confirm the charter flight,'' exclaimed Capt.
Madeiros yesterday.
The three friends formed the unincorporated company, Creative Associates, for the charter.
The flight will depart Bermuda on Saturday, November 7, at 10.30 a.m., returning mid-day on Wednesday, November 11.
A limited number of tickets are still available, at a cost of $655.
They may be bought at Just-Rite on Parsons Road, or by telephoning 236-9978, or 238-0476.
The cost includes a ticket to the game, but not hotel accommodation, which is being handled by Darrell Travel.
Block seating at the match has been arranged at the half way line, said Capt.
Madeiros, a business development manager with Colonial Insurance.
"I certainly hope to be going myself,'' he added.
Creative Associates hope to organise more air charters to top sporting events.
