The guard was patrolling the Coral Beach & Tennis Club premises when he noticed shadows on the balcony of one of the rooms, said a Police spokeswoman.

The guard shone his light toward them and saw a man who leaped off the balcony and into his clutches.

The 36-year-old Southampton man was conveyed to the manager's office and detained until Police arrived at around 10.30 p.m. and took him to Hamilton Police Station.

When contacted yesterday Coral Beach general manager Glenn Shorto confirmed the report.
