The Criminal Code Amendment (Number Two) is aimed at keeping tabs on sex offenders and violent criminals who have completed their sentences. The Bermuda Government Scholarships Amendment increases the basic size of grants and scholarships from $12,500 to $15,000 and $15,000 to $17,000 a year respectively. In addition, students will be disallowed from applying for or being considered for more than one Government scholarship.
