A "jazz-ballet original'' is planned for City Hall later this month.

The Detroit-Windsor Dance Company, founded 14 years ago by Ms Debra White-Hunt, is to perform on July 25.

Bermuda is the first stop for the dance troupe. They will then perform in Spain, universities across the United States and public schools in Detroit.

Hailed as a major force in contemporary dance, their repertoire includes modern, classical, Afro-Haitian, theatrical and jazz dance.

Their concert in Bermuda will be entitled Brown Shoes.
