Another record high

Exchange yesterday, driving the Exchange Index to its sixth consecutive record-high of 964.77, up 18.31 points.

Butterfield's stock closed at $27, with a volume of 10,188 -- representing trading worth $275,000 in its shares.

The biggest climber of the day, however, was Telco, whose stock went up by $1.25 to $31.25, with a volume of 437.

The Bank of Bermuda's shares increased by 25 cents to $38.75, with a volume of 4,938, while its eight percent preference shares closed unchanged at $12.50, with a volume of 3,997.

Another big riser was Masters, whose stock rose by 75 cents to close at $9.50, with a volume of 200.

Belco stock went up by 50 cents to $18, with a volume of 130. Other trades, all at unchanged prices, were: Bermuda Fire & Marine Insurance, which closed at 10 cents, with a volume of 7,000; BF&M Ltd., $8, 1,500; Devonshire Industries, $9.875, 380; and Bermuda Aviation Services, $3.25, 366.

Shares and bonds worth $565,070 were traded in total.
