and damaged a cedar screen door.

Sacomo Trott, 24, of Cochrane Road, was bound over by Magistrates' Court for a previous offence of using offensive words but yesterday pleaded guilty to causing wilful damage to a woman's property.

The court heard that Trott purchased a pedal bike from the plaintiff but did not pay the full amount so she went to his house and took the bike back.

He later returned to her house to pay the outstanding balance and take back the bike but an argument ensued and he was asked to leave. Trott removed the cycle from the house and threw the outstanding money and a beer bottle into the kitchen. On his way out of the residence, Trott kicked a cedar screen door and caused $375 worth of damage to it.

Police attended his residence later that day and asked him about the incident.

Magistrate Edward King said he had to convict Trott for the offence for which he was bound over and fined him $200 for using offensive words. He then fined him $300 for causing wilful damage and ordered him to pay the fine on or before May 31 or face default of one hundred and twenty days.

Mr. King added that Trott had let him down as he was supposed to behave properly while bound over. Trott said it was a case of him losing his cool and "just'' reacting to the incident. He added that he appreciated Mr. King being as lenient as possible with him.
