yesterday's Primary Schools' inter-school sports day at National Stadium.

One other record was equalled as a number of exciting performances indicated that some new, promising talent was emerging from the primary schools.

Brangman, competing in the under-10 boys, established new marks in the 200 and 400 metres with times of 27.27 seconds and 1:05.5. With a second place behind Vernell Lambe of Harrington Primary in the 100 metres, Brangman emerged as the champion boy in his age group.

West Pembroke's Antonio Lowe, later voted champion boy in the under-11 age group, established a new mark in the 200 metres when he clocked 27.1. Lowe also won the 100 metres and was second in the long jump.

Jaynae Dillas of Prospect, a past Bank of Butterfield Mile and cross-country winner and quickly establishing herself as a possible star of the future, broke the record she set last year in the girls over-11 1500 metres when she won in a time of 5:17.2. She was voted champion girl in her age group after also winning the 400 and 800 metres.

Zindzi Swan of Elliott equalled the high jump mark in the girls over-11 with a leap of 1.43 metres.

Tamera Olden (under-10 girls), Danielle Watson (under-11 girls) and Kaijay Davis (over-11 boys) were the other champion athletes.

Olden had firsts in the 100 and 200 metres while Davis won the 100, 200 and 400 metres. Watson triumphed in the 800 metres and was second in the 200 and long jump.

Full results will be carried in tomorrow's paper.
