Sex attacker targets woman in Pembroke

A 40-year-old victim reported to Police she returned to her car in a netball court parking lot and was attacked from behind by a man.

A 40-year-old victim reported to Police she returned to her car in a netball court parking lot and was attacked from behind by a man.

Police believe she was dragged down an embankment where the assault took place.

The offender is described as a dark skinned male, 5 ft 8 inches, of medium build and wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officers have appealed for anyone who was in the area to come forward, particularly a woman in a beige suit and hat who was walking south along Berkeley Road.

TWO YOUTHS ARRESTED OVER BREAK-INS CRM Two youths arrested over break-ins Two 17-year old youths have been arrested in connection with a series of break-ins and thefts.

On Friday night Police discovered the smashed front door of Island Satellite in Pembroke.

A Police search found the two youths walking along Canal Road with "items consistent with break-ins on their person''.

Police also found several game discs and Playstation television game units at the homes of the youths.

Further incidents of attempted break-ins of cars and at commercial premises were revealed after later enquiries.

Both youths have been released on bail for later court appearances.

POLICE SEARCH FOR BOYS AFTER BUNGLED THEFT CRM Police search for boys after bungled theft Police are hunting a pair of teenage boys after a failed attempt to steal sneakers.

Police were called to the "Brands for Less'' store in Joell's Alley on Saturday afternoon.

Store management told the Police two boys around the age of 13 were challenged as they were about to leave the store.

Staff suspicions were aroused when one of the boy's previously empty knapsack appeared full.

Two pairs of new sneakers were found inside the bag.

But the boys were able to escape and abandoned a pedal cycle at the store.

One of the boys is decribed as slim, with short hair, approximately 5ft 4in, and medium brown-skinned. The second boy is described as having a medium build, medium length hair, approximately 5ft 6in, and light-brown skinned.
