It is understood the woman was assaulted by her boyfriend. Police were subsequently called to an address on Serpentine Road after reports the woman's father then went after the boyfriend with an axe.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James-Barnett told The Royal Gazette the exact nature of the woman's injuries was unknown and no arrests had been made last night.
