Magazine plays up Island's tie to Michael Douglas
publicity boost in a UK magazine.
In its November issue, the monthly Woman's Journal featured Bermuda in a four-page special titled "Island Attraction: Michael Douglas' Bermuda''.
The story looks at Bermuda's people and culture through Douglas' own words.
With photos of scenic spots such as Flatts Bridge, Jackson Cove, Mangrove Bay and St. George's, the article centres on local icons like Dennis' Hideaway, the drink Dark and Stormy, and the Swizzle Inn.
Douglas also talks of his childhood visits to the Island, water skiing without a boat off Flatts Bridge, swimming in caves, and family reunions.
The family's guest cottage colony, Ariel Sands, also gets a plug and Dockyard gets a thumbs up from the actor.
Meanwhile, the new Hamilton train and museum-pass scheme have received a mention in the New York Times.
Last Sunday's travel section carries a plug on the attractions.
