Cricketer to make peace with club
settling their differences.
The volatile player was suspended for a year by the club last month after publicly blasting a decision by management, but Cann appealed against the sentence.
Club president Delby Borden said yesterday that the appeal's committee had met with the player and another meeting was on the cards before any final decision would be made.
"He came to the meeting and I understand that the committee was very impressed with his presentation. He wrote a very nice letter to management and it looks like something may eventually be worked out,'' said Borden.
Cann directed harsh words at the club's management for the manner in which they appointed Graham Fox to the post of coach instead of the player he favoured, Clay Smith, who also applied for the job.
