Child's Wish charity says thank-you
support it has received since its inception.
Child's Wish, a registered charity affiliated with organisations in the United States, has already granted three such "special dreams'' for youngsters, and is currently finalising several more.
The organisation already helped a teenager to go to New York and spend a day with the cast of `Cats' and it arranged a special birthday party in Baltimore so that a mother under special hospital care could be part of her daughter's celebration.
But Child's Wish has asked the public to offer more "support'' in helping grant children's dreams.
Board member Jaqueline Horsefield explained: "There will always be cases to consider and with support Child's Wish will succeed in granting every wish.'' Mrs. Horsefield added that the charity owed much to "special engagements and media coverage'' and, especially, to links with several US based sister organisations.
"Registration with the International Charitable Fund of Bermuda has facilitated a sizable donation and also allows us to become officially recognised by Orlando based Give Kids the World,'' she said.
She added that one event in particular that had helped was being "nominated by the Kardias Club as their chosen charity at a spectacular fund raising event and raffle held at the Fairmont Southampton Princess.''
