Bermuda Stock Exchange index to a new record yesterday of 1,298.03, a gain of 4.38 points.

Five issues traded, one gaining, one declining, three unchanged in value on a volume of 103,133 shares and a turnover of $2,179,311. Bank of Butterfield rose 25 cents to $14.50 on a volume of 16,000. Belco Holdings Ltd. fell 25 cents to $22.75 on a volume of 64,387. Trading unchanged were the Bank of Bermuda at $26.50 on a volume of 6,008, BF&M preferred shares at $9 on a volume of 9,238, and Bermuda Telephone Co. at $32 on a volume of 7,500.
