TeleBermuda International director Kenneth Spurling last night said the company had asked for its shares to be suspended on the Bermuda Stock Exchange, will be halted this morning.

Mr. Spurling would only say that it had something to do with a "major'' financial announcement to be made at a Press conference today at 1 p.m.

The Island's new long distance telephone company announced last month that it will be laying a new $50 million international fibre-optic telecommunications cable.
