The bank's senior marketing manager, Mr. Tom Lamont, said the level of creativity displayed by the primary school entrants is higher than in previous years.
"I am sure the panel of judges will have an even more difficult time judging this year's entries,'' he said.
Cartoonist Mr. Peter Woolcock, artist Mr. Clyde Stovell, and Mrs. Janet Nearon and Mrs. Cathy Lapsley of The Bank of Butterfield began their challenging duties yesterday.
The overall winner of the contest will receive a $100 award. Winners in each primary year category will be given a Bank of Butterfield savings deposit accounts in amounts of $50 for first place, $30 for second place and $20 third place.
Winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the bank's Rosebank Centre on January 7.
