Micha Simons graduates
Micha C. Simons of Southampton, Bermuda, received a BSc degree on June 5 from Washington and Lee University.
Commencement ceremonies for more than 400 Washington and Lee students were held on the university's historic Front Lawn.
Ms Simons majored in Biology. While at Washington and Lee, she participated in independent research, was an active member and officer of the Minority Students Association, was a founding member of the NAACP chapter at W&L, participated in the Big Buddy and SPCA programmes of the Nabors Service League and was a member of both the Outing Club and Club Softball. Upon graduation she plans to spend a year gaining experience in the veterinary field before applying to veterinary medicine programmes.
Ms Simons is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Simons of Southampton, Bermuda.
W&L is ranked 15th of the 50 best public and private liberal arts colleges in the nation by the US News and World Report.
