Hedges brothers tune up
World Junior Cycling Championships in Spain, was joined by older brother Trevor for a fine weekend of cycling.
The two riders turned in impressive performances in the Ninigret Road Race in Rhode Island on Sunday, a build-up for this week's five-day Killington Stage Race in Vermont.
Kris Hedges, in fact, raced twice, finishing second in a sprint in the Junior Division in the morning then joining Tevor in the afternoon senior race.
On a technical 30-mile criterium course, both were involved the thick of 15-strong breakaway group among a field of 60 riders.
Trevor Hedges finished eighth, winning the Category 4 Division while Kris was 15th.
The Hedges will now get ready for the biggest race of their lives on Thursday, when they will be joined by Steve Sterritt in mountainous Killington.
