Bermuda College signs agreement with Canadian university

A new agreement has been reached between Bermuda College and Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The university has increased the number of transfer credits from the college which can be applied to three degree programmes at the university.

Bermuda College president Dr. George Cook co-signed the agreement with the Canadian university's president Elizabeth Parr-Johnston.

The agreement allows Bermuda College students to transfer up to 10 credits from the diploma or associate programmes in Arts, Business Administration and Hospitality Management to the university's Bachelor of Applied Arts, Business Administration, Tourism, and Hospitality Management degrees.

In the past, Mount Saint Vincent had granted five units of transfer credit to students who had completed diploma programmes at the Bermuda College.

Dr. Cook said: "People know the value of the education they are getting when they come here. A Canadian degree is still an excellent bargain, and this agreement will make it even more attractive for our Bermudian students.''
