Senator Michael Scott made the observation as he presented the Government's Budget for the Ministry of Development and Opportunity in the Senate yesterday.

Sen. Scott said attention was being given to replacing the Island's central performing venue at City Hall in Hamilton with a larger arts centre.

But he added: "The arts community thinks or feels that artistic promotion will be enhanced by the use of smaller workshops where either rehearsals or workshops can take place along with smaller performances.'' Noting that the City Hall could house some 400 patrons, Sen. Scott pointed out that places with smaller capacities of 50 to 100 would be of more use.
