The bank's share price finished up 37.5 cents at $19.50 on volume of 24,151, with a block of 20,000 shares worth about $390,000 purchased in one deal near the end of the trading session.

The trades helped drive the Index up 8.03 points to close at 1,084.25, on volume of 30,575 worth $540,744.

The bank's warrants, meanwhile, traded 12.5 cents lower at $2.375 on volume of 729.

Also in the banking sector, Bank of Butterfield traded unchanged at $12.375 on a volume of 5,405.

The only other securities trading were 290 shares of BF&M Ltd. at an unchanged price of $6.75.
