in front of a crowd of over 250 people.

Close to 100 new freshman students were welcomed to the College's Stonington campus, on South Shore Road, Paget, in a convocation ceremony which included speeches from College president Dr. George L. Cook, chairman of the College's board of governors Dr. James A.C. King, and peer advisor Mr. Adrian Barnaby.

The hour-long ceremony included recognition for students who achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 in a 60 credit programme last semester.

A total of 19 students were honoured for this achievement and placed on the President's List.

In his address to the crowd, Dr. King explained the College's plans to unify all sections of the campus at Stonington by January.

"Over the last two years we have taken a good look at ourselves and decided that we must respond to the needs of our customers,'' Dr. King said. "We must seek to improve and take on new challenges.''
