The 36-year-old lawyer, who works for Marshall & Co., was injured in a head-on car crash near Spittal Pond in Smith's Parish last September.

She pleaded not guilty to driving without due care and attention in her trial yesterday.

The driver of the other car admitted in court that Ms Wilson may have skidded on debris in high winds, when her car mounted a bank and careered across the road.

Wilson, represented by Tim Marshall, said she suffered from amnesia after the crash and could not recall any details.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis, clearing Wilson, said reports from the Bermuda Weather Service showed there were 33 mph winds at the time of the crash.

There were also dead leaves on the road surface, he added.
