Elbow begins training scheme
facility to establish a career development programme for its staff.
Yesterday general manager Bill Shoaf said that the programme, which will be implemented in the next three months, will set out to establish staff aims and ambitions, job descriptions and potential career paths.
The initiative is aimed at addressing concerns from staff on a variety of issues in recent months. It may also have been the result of negotiations between the owner's representative and Immigration Minister Paula Cox held last week.
Last Saturday Ms Cox confirmed that Mr. Shoaf's work permit was renewed "subject to certain conditions''.
Yesterday Mr. Shoaf said: "We are now looking to the future and are in the process of developing a very high quality career programme with several layers which will also include a succession plan and look at very concise job descriptions and a career path for all our managers.''
