Mr. Goom, a Canadian, has over 25 years of management experience. During his career with the Royal Bank of Canada, he held the positions of vice president and deputy, multinational and financial institutions-risk management, vice president special loans group and vice president multinational accounts. He dealt extensively in credit management, operations and change management and organisational development.

As well as Canada, Mr. Goom's banking background includes positions in England, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Japan and East Africa.
