Bermuda Commercial Bank gained another 25 cents to close at $10 on a volume of 100. BCB's shares have gained $3.75 since oil magnate Mr. John Deuss took control on May 11, 1993. BF&M fell by $1 to $9 on a volume of 4,985.
Trading unchanged were the Bank of Bermuda, which ended the day at $23 on a volume of 7,451, and BF&M nine percent preference stock, which closed at $12 on a volume of 200.
Belco's seven percent notes went up by $1 to $118 on a volume of 3,000. The Exchange Index closed at 1,159.06 -- down by 2.15.
Three new listings were added to the Exchange yesterday: Advanced Therapeutic Systems Ltd., a new company set up to develop products based on Elan Corporation's "biodegradable enhanced oral drug administration system''; Ocean Wilson Holdings Ltd., which owns several Brazilian shipping and towage interests; and Solar Enterprises, which owns a large tract of land in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Advanced Therapeutic is also listed on the American Exchange and Ocean Wilson is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
