assault on his wife, spent the better part of yesterday's brief Supreme Court session sparring over the jury makeup.

The man is alleged to have committed the offence on August 18, 1994 and thereby caused his wife bodily harm.

During jury selection Mr. Archie Warner, representing the accused, challenged three female jury members while Crown counsel Mr. Khamisi Tokunbo challenged seven men.

In the end, the jury was composed of seven men and five women.

The jury will begin hearing the case today before Puisne Judge the Hon. Mr.

Justice Meerabux.
